## What Is Wake Foiling?

Wake foiling uses a surfboard with a hydrofoil (underwater wing) attached to the bottom. As the boat creates a wave, the foil generates lift and the board rises out of the water. You're essentially flying above the surface of the bay.

## Is It Hard?

Wake foiling has a steep learning curve. Most riders need 5–10 sessions before they can consistently ride the foil. It's not recommended for complete beginners — you should be comfortable wake surfing first.

## Equipment

A wake foil setup costs $2,000–$5,000. Most Miami operators don't yet offer foil rentals, but this is changing rapidly.
